  • Turn off as many heat-generating appliances as necessary. This includes the lights. Don’t run the dishwasher or the laundry machine, which will add both heat and moisture to the air.
  • If the AC is supplying cool air, but its fan is still working, keep the fan on to help circulate air and create breezes that will make people feel cooler.
